Transform your home with oak
When we first met Mr and Mrs Stephenson they had just built a stunning contemporary new house in Calderdale. After living there for a few months they realised certain elements could be improved and additional items added which would enhance the way they used the property and its surroundings.
The clients believed an oak frame would transform their home and came to us with ideas which we translated into visual designs. We were delighted to produce 3D colour drawings to vividly bring their ideas to life.
Over the coming months and years we have fitted 3 separate frames on this property
The first was a bespoke, open plan, two-bay garage at the top of the driveway. A couple of years later we incorporated an open log store and a closed BBQ store. These not only added practicality to the initial design but also made the structure unique.
The second oak frame was a large open front porch, with curved legs and head beam to span the grand main entrance doors. This frame was to provide shelter as well as aesthetically transform the flat frontage of the house.
The third frame was a hipped roof, open carport to the side of the garage. The garage wasn’t parallel with the frame so a lean-to frame was added to link the two structures and provide shelter while walking from the car to the house.
THE ENTIRE ROOF STRUCTURE WAS EXPOSED AND WE SUGGESTED FITTING OAK SLATE SLATS RATHER THAN STANDARD ROOF FELT. THIS ALLOWED THE UNDERSIDE OF THE ROOF TO HIGHLIGHT THE BEAUTY OF THE SLATE CREATING THE PERFECT FINISH. TAKE A LOOK AT OUR GALLERY – THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES!
